Not only those from the past but some people you may not even realize suffer silently right in front of your blinded eyes fearful of the wrath the World will unleash on them for having something they did not ask for and would not wish upon another living creature. Is it when he/she swallows their pride to make art that isn't even remotely their vision? And if this line is crossed can an artist redeem themselves? I try not to give in to the pressure of my environment. I have had people tell multiple things on how i can become a successful artist, Kyle "Just work on a small scale then you will sell" Kyle "If you painted cats people would buy your work" What if I feel I am successful I get to wake up each day and do what I love art. I have once or twice ok three times fallen short of my creative integrity in order to pay the bills. Then once you do it your like "what was I waiting for?" I do this all the time I am very hesitant when it comes to anything new or needing to be done. I just starting painting again tonight and it was great! I think a lot of misplaced anxiety and fear of how the work is going to turn out holds me back.
